And then this happened 🙈 — after the earlier tyre fun, our mischievous lion friend Samburu decided to take things up a notch! Clearly still in a playful mood, he spotted what he must’ve thought was the next best toy in the savannah — a hula hoop. Only, it wasn’t quite the graceful spinning performance he had in mind! Before anyone could stop him, Samburu stuck his big paws through the hoop, got himself tangled up, and ended up doing the most unintentional (and utterly hilarious) lion dance imaginable. 🦁💃
There he was — the king of the savannah reduced to waddling in circles, front legs trapped, pride slightly dented but curiosity still intact. Every step he took made the hoop bounce along with him, like a toddler learning to walk for the first time. The rest of the pride looked on with that typical lion mix of confusion and indifference — you could almost hear them thinking, “There goes Samburu again…”
Apologies in advance for my cackling in the background — I can’t help it! I’m from Yorkshire, and when lions start behaving like circus clowns, the laughter just erupts. 😂 These Samburu lions have such personalities; it’s impossible not to adore them. From tyre rolling to impromptu hula hoop sessions, they’re a constant reminder that even the fiercest creatures have a wonderfully playful side.
